Three Kings Day Brings Joy to Remote Playa del Carmen Kids

Children from remote communities will receive toys and celebrate Three Kings Day in Playa del Carmen.

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. – Three Kings Day will bring joy and gifts to hundreds of children living in remote communities of Playa del Carmen, who traditionally lack access to celebrations or toys on this date. The initiative seeks to extend the magic of the holiday to localities with greater social disadvantage.

The festive day will include various recreational activities and the distribution of toys, prioritizing those areas with less access to community events. The purpose is to ensure the celebration reaches minors who, due to their location or economic situation, are often left out of festivities concentrated in urban areas.

Jesús Rodríguez, General Director of DIF, highlighted the importance of this initiative by stating, “January 6th is the day that generates the most excitement in childhood, and this year we decided to take the celebration to communities that normally do not have access to this type of activity.” The actions will be carried out simultaneously in different localities.

In addition to the celebrations, the collection of toys and warm clothing items continues. A portion of these supplies has already been distributed in communities affected by low temperatures, especially benefiting families with minors and elderly adults.

The event goes beyond the simple delivery of toys; it seeks to create a space for coexistence and joy for children facing conditions of inequality, in a context where economic limitations often prevent this type of celebration in the family sphere.
