Suspect Ordered to Pretrial Detention in Puerto Aventuras Woman’s Murder

Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — A judge has ordered a man into pretrial detention for his alleged role in the murder of a woman whose body was discovered hidden under lime and cement in Puerto Aventuras, the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office announced.

Carlos Adrián “N” was formally charged and remanded to custody for two years or the duration of the judicial process. He was arrested in the Othón P. Blanco municipality, which includes the city of Chetumal, by State Investigation Police officers executing an arrest warrant.

Two other individuals—Jonathan “N” and José de Jesús “N”, alias “Gordo”—are also undergoing legal proceedings and remain in pretrial detention for the same case.

Details of the Crime

According to the investigation, the crime occurred on January 28, 2024. Authorities allege one of the implicated individuals ordered the attack and provided a firearm.

The victim was intercepted after leaving her workplace in Puerto Aventuras. She was then taken to a dirt road area where she was allegedly assaulted and killed.

The perpetrators subsequently concealed the body under lime and cement. Investigators located the remains on March 5, 2024.
