Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — The Directorate of Real Estate Affairs of the Secretary of Territorial and Urban Sustainable Development (SEDETUS) has delivered 83 real estate licenses to professionals in Playa del Carmen, with representatives from both this municipality and Tulum attending to receive their accreditations.

These actions are framed within the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, under the leadership of Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, who is promoting a model of sustainable territorial ordering and growth. The model aims to provide certainty for investors while simultaneously guaranteeing benefits for Quintana Roo families.

The event was held at the CANACO SERVYTUR Playa del Carmen auditorium. The Director of Real Estate Affairs, Gabriela Peña, highlighted that the consolidation of the official registry of real estate advisors and condominium administrators responds to the provisions of the Law on the Provision of Real Estate Services. This provides greater legal certainty and transparency to urban and housing development in Quintana Roo.

From July 2024 to July 2025, a total of 4,503 real estate professionals have been trained, of which 2,367 are women and 2,136 are men. As a result, 1,721 licenses have been issued across the state, with 93.32% concentrated in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum.

With the delivery of these licenses, SEDETUS reaffirms its commitment to working towards a more orderly, reliable, and professionalized real estate market for the benefit of the citizenry and in full alignment with the sustainable development vision of the State Government.
