SHOCKING: Man Caught Stealing, Tied to Tree

In Puerto Aventuras, a man was caught allegedly stealing from a construction site by local residents of the Puerto Maya subdivision. The man was tied to a coconut tree and threatened with lynching.

The event occurred around 11:30 pm. Residents claimed that the man, suspected of multiple burglaries in the area, was caught in the act on Cocoteros and Chaca streets. He was reportedly stealing a drill from a construction site when he was pursued and captured by locals. They then tied him to a coconut tree and threatened to lynch him, posting their intentions on social media.

The municipal police were quickly alerted and rushed to the scene. They were able to secure the man, preventing any harm from the angered residents who expressed their frustration over repeated thefts in their area.

The man is now detained and held in the cells of the Security Secretariat. He will remain in custody until a victim comes forward to file a complaint and initiate legal proceedings. If no complaint is filed, he will be released after three days.
