Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — Puerto Morelos will host its first Caribbean Beer Festival next month, offering residents and visitors unlimited beer tastings for a fee of 250 to 500 pesos. The event will run from April 17 to 19 at Ventana al Mar in the town’s historic center.

Oscar Antonio Estrella Fuentes, a local concessionaire known as “El Pingüino,” who runs the “Pisa y Corre” snack bar near the baseball field, extended an invitation to attendees. “I want to invite everyone to come to the stadium on April 17 for some good seafood, snacks, and beers at ‘Pisa y Corre’ with music at the bar—either before or after the festival. We’ll be waiting for you,” he said.

This marks the first time Puerto Morelos has held the festival at the Ventana al Mar esplanade. The celebration will bring together national and international craft breweries, high-end cuisine, live music, and a range of family-friendly activities.

Organizers confirmed participation from more than 30 breweries from Mexico and abroad, offering over 120 beer styles, including special editions, seasonal brews, and exclusive releases created specifically for the event.

“We want this festival to become a benchmark for the Mexican Caribbean. More than just a beer event, we aim to create an experience that celebrates culture, flavor, and community by the sea,” said Eduardo Butrón, the festival organizer.

The Caribbean Beer Festival aims to boost tourism in the municipality while supporting emerging projects in the brewing industry by providing a professional space to connect with the market, build commercial relationships, and present their offerings to thousands of attendees. The initiative also seeks to contribute to local economic development, benefiting producers, entrepreneurs, and suppliers linked to the beer, tourism, and events sectors.

Those interested in joining the festival as beer exhibitors, culinary participants, sponsors, or strategic partners can contact the organizing committee via email.
