PUERTO MORELOS, Mexico — The government of Puerto Morelos is preparing to host the Caribbean Barbecue Festival 2025 on October 25 and 26. This marks the fourth time the event will be held, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local DIF (Integrated Family Development) system, a municipal family services agency.
While barbecue fairs are becoming a tradition in Quintana Roo, this festival distinguishes itself by its charitable aim. The intention is to not only benefit investors and local producers but also to generate resources to assist the most disadvantaged people in the municipality.
Activities at the 2025 Barbecue Festival
The festival's offerings for attendees will include a variety of activities, as well as exhibitors and the sale of different products. The listed activities are as follows:

Master Class Details
Parrilleros Playeros
- Instructors: Chef Jesús “Rojo” García and Chef Liliana Victoria Merino.
- Description: A 100% family experience where participants will learn the secrets of fire, grilling techniques, and tips to become the hero of their own barbecue.

- Restrictions: For ages 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
La Parrilla de Lucho and the Mexican Association of Barbecue Chefs
- Instructor: Lucho Rodríguez, founder and president of the association.
- Description: A serious and direct experience from the most iconic barbecue settings, focusing on cuts, technique, and passion to make participants feel part of the national barbecue community.
