Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo — The coastal town of Puerto Morelos will host a charity run next month to raise funds and awareness for children battling cancer.

The Kilómetros de Luz event, scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m., will take place at El Parque Fundadores. Organizers say the run aims to support the Aitana Foundation, which assists children with cancer.

Participants can register online through a dedicated form. Registration fees are set at 250 pesos for early sign-ups before February 14, and 300 pesos thereafter.

Proceeds will be collected via bank transfer to the Unidos por Aitana A.C. account at Banamex, with specific details provided for deposits.

Registration kits include a commemorative T-shirt, a participation medal for the first 200 finishers, hydration during the event, and a candle for a symbolic golden ribbon formation at the race’s conclusion.

Local officials describe the event as one of the largest sporting and charitable gatherings in the region, designed to foster community support for cancer patients and their families.
