Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo — The Playa del Carmen government hosted a major job fair in Puerto Aventuras, bringing together 11 companies offering more than 300 local positions.
The Municipal Job and Labor Services Fair for Prosperity took place at the Puerto Aventuras municipal dome, organized by the city’s Economic Development and Investment Attraction Department under Mayor Estefanía Mercado.
Economic Development Secretary Estefanía Hernández said the mayor prioritizes such initiatives because they strengthen direct connections between businesses and job seekers, boosting family welfare in Playa del Carmen.
Puerto Aventuras Mayor Gilberto Gómez Martínez noted that the fair allows residents to access employment opportunities without traveling elsewhere, reducing costs and simplifying the hiring process.
Participating companies included hotels Único, Barceló, and Shops, along with Maxi Carne, Invercap, Gomart, and Safetimx.
The event also featured various public services: the State Prosecutor’s Office provided non-registry background certificates, while the municipal DIF system offered medical certificates.
Other participating agencies included the Recruitment Board, the Women’s Institute, the Municipal Citizen Security Department, the Civil Registry, and the Municipal Health Department, which provided vaccination services.
Puerto Aventuras officials present included Treasurer Allison Medina Montero, Citizen Councilor Tomás Flores Benítez, and Economic Development Director Carla Paola Ochoa Aburto.
