Playa del Carmen, Mexico — Playa del Carmen has been designated as the host city for one of the most anticipated celebrations in the world of mixology: Negroni Week, which will take place from September 22 to 28 at La Perla Pixan.

During this week, bartenders from the main bars of the Riviera Maya, from various cities across Mexico, and from abroad will gather in Playa del Carmen to pay homage to the Negroni, considered one of the world's best classic cocktails.

The initiative, which began in 2013, is now celebrated in over 80 countries and has a dual purpose: to exalt the creativity behind mixology and to raise funds for charitable causes, in addition to promoting awareness about the responsible consumption of alcohol.

This year, the theme of Negroni Week is sustainability, under the concept "Fighting for the Earth," a creative proposal that uses the narrative of lucha libre (Mexican professional wrestling) to highlight responsible initiatives and practices within the beverage industry, reminding everyone that each cocktail can also be an act of environmental consciousness.

Furthermore, as part of its gastronomic offering for the national holiday month, La Perla Pixan will offer its visitors traditional Mexican dishes such as chiles en nogada, pozole, and other typical delicacies, which will pair perfectly with the mixology creations presented during Negroni Week.

During the press conference for the presentation of the event, Lic. Antón Augusto Bojórquez Mackay, Secretary of Economic Development and Investment Attraction of Playa del Carmen, was present. He highlighted the relevance of initiatives like this one to boost the cultural, gastronomic, and touristic offerings of the destination.

With a lineup of top-tier mixological talent, La Perla Pixan will become the ideal meeting point to enjoy an iconic beverage while contributing to a cause that transcends borders.
