Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Families in Playa del Carmen can now access affordable general medicine, dental, psychological, and nutritional consultations at the municipal DIF clinic, part of a broader strategy to improve community well-being.
The Playa del Carmen DIF system, through its Health Services Directorate, is offering these specialized consultations at reduced costs, aiming to make preventive healthcare and basic treatments more accessible to residents regardless of their economic situation.
This initiative falls under the municipal government’s “Transforming with Love and Prosperity” program led by Mayor Estefanía Mercado, which focuses on providing accessible, community-oriented health services.

- Psychology: Professional support for emotional health, helping individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, family conflicts, or other emotional difficulties.
- Nutrition: Specialized advice to improve eating habits, prevent chronic diseases like diabetes or hypertension, and promote healthy lifestyles across all age groups.
