Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Anticipation is building for Playa del Carmen Carnival 2026, following the official announcement of the artists who will headline the festival’s free nightly concerts in the city’s main square. The celebration is scheduled to take place February 14–17, 2026, positioning it once again as one of the most prominent Carnival events in the Mexican Caribbean.

On Saturday, February 15, the stage will host Santa Fe Klan, one of Mexico’s most influential rap and hip-hop artists, whose appearance is expected to draw one of the largest crowds of the weekend.

The lineup continues Sunday, February 16, with NSQK, representing the new wave of alternative and urban pop. The Carnival will conclude Tuesday, February 17, with the 90’s Pop Tour: El Antro, featuring iconic acts including JNS, Kabah, Magneto, Mercurio, Caló, The Sacados, SBS, Ari Borovoy, Erik Rubín, Érika Zaba, Kalimba, and M’Balia, along with special guest DJs Le Twins. The closing night is designed as a large-scale retro celebration highlighting the music that defined an entire generation.

What About the Carnival Parades?

As of this publication, official parade dates and routes for Playa del Carmen Carnival 2026 have not yet been released by municipal authorities. Historically, Carnival parades in Playa del Carmen typically take place over the weekend and final days of the festival, often along central avenues and tourist corridors, but organizers have not confirmed the schedule for 2026. The city is expected to publish parade details—including dates, times, and routes—closer to the event.

All announced concerts will be free and open to the public, reinforcing Carnival’s role as a family-friendly, community-centered celebration. Plaza 28 de Julio remains the focal point of the festivities, continuing its role as the city’s main venue for large public events.
