PLAYA DEL CARMEN, QRoo — With the firm purpose of transforming the economic model from All Inclusive to a framework of Todos Incluidos (All Included), the municipal government of Playa del Carmen is strengthening coordination with the State Government, within the framework of the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo.

In a meeting, the Municipal Secretary of Economic Development and Investment Attraction for Playa del Carmen, Antón Bojórquez, held talks with the State Secretary of Economic Development, Paul Carrillo de Cáceres. The objective was to build and strengthen collaborative measures that will trigger new opportunities for economic growth in the municipality.

“Following the vision of our Municipal President, Estefanía Mercado, we are building a more humane and inclusive economic model, where growth translates into well-being for everyone,” said Antón Bojórquez.

He further highlighted that coordination with the State Government, through the Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDE), allows for progress on concrete strategies so that more entrepreneurs have access to fair credit, that companies receive quality distinctions, and that products labeled "Hecho en Playa del Carmen" (Made in Playa del Carmen) gain greater presence.

“We are transforming the concept of All Inclusive into a true Todos Incluidos, because economic development must be reflected in better opportunities, more jobs, and a future with shared prosperity for the families of Playa del Carmen,” the official stated.

Among the principal agreements reached in the meeting are:

  • Facilitating entrepreneurs' access to credit with the lowest interest rates on the market, generating fair and competitive conditions for them to start or consolidate their projects.
  • Promoting the SEDE initiative for Playa del Carmen to be one of the first municipalities to install display carts for products labeled "Hecho en Playa del Carmen" and "Hecho en Quintana Roo," thereby strengthening local identity and internal consumption.
  • Working jointly on the creation of a distinction for service-based companies and ventures, as a seal of quality and trust to position them in local and tourist markets.
  • Analyzing the possibility of establishing a physical space with incentives for the installation of new businesses, favoring the attraction of investments and the generation of employment.

With these actions, the Municipal Government of Playa del Carmen reaffirms its commitment to continue building bridges of communication and joint work with the State Government, placing the well-being of families and the development of a more diversified and inclusive economy at the center.
