Chetumal Property Tax Discounts for Buen Fin 2025

Chetumal, Mexico — In an effort to protect family economies and promote regularization, authorities from the Othón P. Blanco City Council have announced a campaign of fiscal incentives for Property Tax payments during Buen Fin 2025.

Yensunni Martínez Hernández, the municipal president of Othón P. Blanco, stated that the municipal government is joining Buen Fin 2025 with this campaign of fiscal incentives for Property Tax payments. She invited taxpayers to fulfill this obligation and take advantage of the discounts, which will be in effect from November 10 to November 17 of this year, 2025.

She indicated that with the goal of safeguarding family finances and strengthening revenue collection, a 25 percent discount will be applied on the payment of the 2026 Property Tax. To promote regularization for the 2025 Property Tax, a 20 percent discount will be granted. This 20 percent discount benefit will also apply to catching up on payments for previous years, from 2020 to 2024.

Residents can take advantage of these incentives from Monday to Friday at the Othón P. Blanco Municipal Palace from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Super Aki from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Bahía from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as well as at the district offices in Mahahual and Calderitas from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, payments will be accepted at Super Aki from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and at Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Bahía from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

According to the Revenue Law for the 2025 Fiscal Year of the Othón P. Blanco Municipality, a revenue of 92 million, 372 thousand, 252 pesos is projected from Property Tax payments. The months with the highest revenue from Property Tax are November and December, when the Othón P. Blanco City Council also applies fiscal incentives for its payment.
