Temax, Mexico — A Thursday morning traffic incident shook the quiet community of Temax. Don "Momia," a well-known elderly man who often rides his bicycle through the town, was struck by a Municipal Police patrol vehicle. According to witnesses, the man was, as usual, pedaling along his regular route and had the right of way. However, the official unit, driven by police officers, ran a stop sign and struck him without hesitation.

The event generated anger not only because of the collision itself but also for what it represents. Neighbors report that this is not the first time a patrol car has driven without caution through the streets of the municipality. "They always drive as if they own the road," commented one visibly upset neighbor.

Local social media feeds have begun to fill with messages of support for "Momia" and demands for justice. The community is calling for a serious investigation, sanctions for those responsible, and an end to abuses of authority. "Enough is enough of those who are supposed to protect us being the ones who represent the most danger," claimed another resident.

For now, authorities are expected to provide an official version of events, and the community hopes for a favorable update on Don "Momia's" health. The people of Temax will be watching closely.
