Mexico City — Fátima Bosch, the Mexican representative for Miss Universe 2025, attracted significant attention when she shared her frustration and disappointment with the media following a dispute with Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil, the vice president for the eastern region of the pageant. The incident occurred during a meeting.

Bosch stated she felt insulted and disrespected, alleging that Mr. Nawat called her "stupid" and yelled "shut up!" at her, despite her having done nothing wrong.

"I love Thailand very much and I respect everyone here, but this is unacceptable. The world must know because we are strong women and no one has the right to silence us," she affirmed.

The beauty queen stated she holds no personal conflicts with the production team and that she still holds a special affection for Thailand, the host country of this year's event. "If someone takes away your dignity, whether or not you wear the crown, stand up and walk away," she added.

The Mexican representative shared the following information with the media after leaving the room:

Earlier, in a meeting with the contestants, Mr. Nawat adopted a severe attitude, demanding that countries which "did not cooperate with the product promotion filming team" acknowledge their mistakes. When no one responded, he specifically singled out the representative from Mexico, accusing her of refusing to post promotional images of Thailand.

Tensions escalated when another contestant protested, which provoked his anger. Mr. Nawat ordered her to sit down and called security. The incident caused some contestants to cry, and many left the meeting room as Mr. Nawat shouted, "Whoever leaves does not have to take the test again."

During the same meeting, Mr. Nawat also revealed that four Miss Universe staff members had been expelled for "participation in illegal gambling promotion activities." Several Miss Universe contestants left the venue.

The incident quickly provoked international outrage, with many viewers expressing their disappointment with Miss Universe 2025, which became embroiled in controversy after only a few days. A specific cause has not yet been announced, and the Miss Universe Organizing Committee has still not issued an official response.

Thai police intervened in the Miss Universe event after Mr. Nawat accused organizers of promoting an illegal casino. Despite the controversy, Huong Giang, the representative from Vietnam, continues to stand out.
