“Mayan Train Devastated by Tropical Storm: Shocking Flood Damage Revealed!”

Recent torrential rains in Quintana Roo have caused significant damage to the Mayan Train tracks. In Bacalar, the heavy rainfall resulted in water flowing westward, inundating the train tracks at a critical juncture. This was not unexpected, as the area is known for frequent runoff.

The flooding also extended into populated areas. In the Diego Rojas Zapatas neighborhood, water levels rose as high as 3.5 meters, submerging houses and vehicles. This flooding was a result of the rains that eventually led to the formation of Tropical Storm "Alberto".
