Maya Train Launches New Year’s Express Tour Package

Governor Mara Lezama announces the Maya Train New Year's Express package.

Cancún, Quintana Roo — Quintana Roo is dressing up to welcome the New Year with an unprecedented tourist experience: the Maya Long-Distance Train begins operations with a special package called the “New Year’s Express,” designed to showcase the best of southeastern Mexico in a single journey, announced Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa.

The Journey Begins in Tulum

“The journey begins with the arrival of visitors at the Tulum International Airport, from where they are welcomed to one of the most emblematic destinations of the Mexican Caribbean,” the governor stated. She added that the Mayan ruins of Tulum, located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, as well as the Hotel Mundo Maya Tulum, the Jaguar Park, and the Regional Museum of the Eastern Coast, are part of the first experiences offered by this route.

The itinerary continues to Cancún, where travelers can enjoy a special dinner to celebrate the arrival of the New Year, framed by the renowned hospitality and varied gastronomic offerings that distinguish this world-class tourist destination.

Concludes with a Visit to Progreso

As the finale of the tour, the Maya Long-Distance Train connects with the city of Mérida, Yucatán, and includes a visit to the port of Progreso and the Meteorite Museum, combining culture, nature, and technology in a single journey.

The tourist package considers accessible prices and includes accommodation, train transfers, and flights, offering four days of unique experiences and a historic journey that marks a before and after in the region’s tourist mobility.

An Unforgettable Experience

With spectacular landscapes, Mayan cultural wealth, museums, gastronomy, and first-class service, Quintana Roo invites national and international tourists to be part of this inaugural journey and to live an unrepeatable New Year, with the promise of welcoming them, as always, with open arms.
