Man Shot and Injured in Cancún’s Supermanzana 219

Cancún, Quintana Roo — A man was shot and injured while walking in the Supermanzana 219 neighborhood of Cancún, near Leona Vicario Avenue.

The incident occurred around 7:07 p.m. when armed assailants approached the victim and opened fire.

Witnesses who saw the attack alerted authorities by calling 911, reporting an armed assault with one person injured.

Police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area to preserve evidence and ensure public safety, and quickly transported the victim to a hospital for medical treatment.

The suspects fled the scene after the shooting, and their identities and whereabouts remain unknown.
