Tulum, Quintana Roo — A man was shot and killed in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Tulum, marking another violent incident in the tourist destination and prompting a response from emergency services and security personnel.
Preliminary reports indicate that residents in a residential area alerted emergency services after hearing multiple gunshots, causing fear among neighbors who came out of their homes to check on the situation.
Upon arrival, paramedics found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attempts to provide medical attention, they confirmed he had no vital signs.
The area was cordoned off to allow criminal investigators to collect evidence and begin procedures to clarify the attack.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased or a possible motive for the homicide. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
Investigations are ongoing while surveillance operations continue in the area.
