Man Found Dead on Avenida Tulum in Cancún

Cancún, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death of a man found with apparent signs of violence on Avenida Tulum in Cancún.

A 911 call shortly after midnight Wednesday alerted authorities to a person apparently dead on the public road in the Supermanzana 89 area, between Routes 4 and 5. Cancún police officers arrived and requested Red Cross paramedics, who confirmed the man had no vital signs.

Investigation on Avenida Tulum

After the death was confirmed, officers cordoned off the area to preserve potential evidence. Investigators and forensic experts from the State Prosecutor’s Office later processed the scene and transferred the body to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo).

Authorities have not yet identified the victim, and the exact cause of death remains under investigation.
