Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants has today revealed its extended list of restaurants ranked from No. 51 to No. 100, highlighting the rich culinary diversity of the entire region. The presentation of this list takes place within the framework of the anticipated awards ceremony to be held on December 2 in Antigua, Guatemala.

The 51-100 list spans a total of 26 Latin American cities and includes 13 new restaurants that have managed to carve out a space in the competitive gastronomic scene, reflecting the constant growth and evolution of the region's cuisine. Among them, Shizen, located in Lima, stands out, making its debut at position No. 62. Furthermore, El Papagayo in Córdoba celebrates its return to the list at position No. 78.

São Paulo positions itself as the leading city on the extended list, with a total of six restaurants, reaffirming its relevance on the world gastronomic map. Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Panama City, and Santiago also stand out by contributing four restaurants each to this recognized list.

New Talents and Notable Returns

The inclusion of innovative restaurateurs and concepts is a distinctive mark of this year's ranking. The appearance of new names on the list, such as Cepa (No. 73) from São Paulo and Umi (No. 72) from Panama City, highlights the constant renewal of the sector. Also noteworthy is the return of Pujol in Mexico City, which retains its position No. 51, while Origem in Salvador occupies second place with No. 52.

On the other hand, from Buenos Aires, the arrival of Ness (No. 64) stands out, along with the consolidation of other establishments such as Mishiguene (No. 69) and Gran Dabbang (No. 70). This continuity evidences the commitment of cities to maintain high standards in gastronomy.

It is important to note that, although many of the entries remain firm, the 51-100 list is also enriched with new proposals, thus positioning the region as a hotbed of creativity and culinary innovation.

Chef Inés Páez Nin, better known as Chef Tita, joins the list with Aguají (No. 88) in Sosúa, and receives the American Express One To Watch Award.

William Drew, Director of Content for Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants, expressed his satisfaction: "We present with great pleasure the list from 51 to 100, a clear sample of the notable talent that enriches our gastronomic landscape. This listing not only highlights culinary destinations, but also celebrates the cultural diversity that defines Latin America."

Additionally, special awards will be given, including the Latin America's Best Female Chef Award, the Latin America's Best Pastry Chef Award, and the Latin America's Best Sommelier Award, thus recognizing the exceptional nature of outstanding individuals in the industry.
