Cancún, Quintana Roo — More than 20,000 people gathered at Malecón Tajamar on Thursday for a concert by the Mexican band La Adictiva, marking the second day of Cancun Carnival 2026.

Families and visitors explored food stalls, artisan markets, and local business displays set up along the waterfront, with affordable offerings adding to the festive atmosphere. A fair with attractions for all ages ran alongside the Laguna Nichupté, providing panoramic views for the evening’s musical performances.

La Adictiva took the main stage and ignited the crowd with hits including “Después de Ti ¿Quién?,” “Escondidos,” “Hombre Libre,” “En Peligro de Extinción,” “La Palma de Mi Mano,” “Llamada Perdida,” “Mi Carita Triste,” “Con Todo Incluido,” and “El Fantasma.” The two-hour set cemented the band’s status as one of the most popular acts in regional Mexican music.

Municipal officials announced that Cancun Carnival 2026 will continue with free concerts at Malecón Tajamar, featuring artists such as Corpusklan, Emerald Band, Julio Baró, and Keira Juárez. The event aims to promote family-friendly activities and strengthen the destination’s cultural identity.
