Cancun, Quintana Roo — A coordinated operation involving federal, state, and municipal security forces led to the arrest of a man suspected of drug distribution in the El Milagro neighborhood of Benito Juárez municipality.
Arturo “N,” also known as “El Guapo,” was taken into custody during an interagency deployment along Avenida Colonia México between Taiwán and Argentina streets. Officers from the Public Security Department, Mexican Navy, Mexican Army, and National Guard observed two men exchanging items between a motorcycle and a parked car. The motorcyclist fled, but authorities detained the vehicle’s occupant and conducted a search.
During the inspection, officers seized 88 small bags containing a green, dry substance resembling marijuana, 31 doses of crystalline fragments, a vest, a cellphone, cash, and a blue Toyota Yaris with State of Mexico license plates.
Arturo “N” was handed over to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Dealing, which will continue the investigation and determine his legal status.
