Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde inaugurated a new Tourist Assistance and Security Module at the Mar Turquesa Lookout, located opposite Garrafón, to provide better service and immediate assistance to visitors.

The strategically positioned module will offer guidance, information, and direct assistance to domestic and international tourists, including recommendations on attractions, services, and activities, as well as channeling support in case of emergencies.

During the event, the mayor highlighted that the strong tourist occupancy recently recorded in both Costa Mujeres and the island results from ongoing promotion and positioning efforts to keep Isla Mujeres favored by major national and international markets.

Gómez Ricalde explained that the module will operate with tourist assistance staff in the mornings and with Tourism Police personnel at night to strengthen security and visitor support.

She reiterated that her administration will continue promoting actions that enhance tourism infrastructure, visitor service, and destination promotion to consolidate Isla Mujeres as a leading world-class destination, generating economic benefits, employment, and well-being for local families.
