Isla Mujeres, Mexico — Isla Mujeres continues to reaffirm its tourism success, closing 2025 with a 100 percent hotel occupancy rate, according to information provided by the Tourism Department.
Thousands of tourists from all nationalities chose our destination to welcome 2026 with the Great New Year’s Dance at the Municipal Esplanade, as well as to see the first sunrise in all of Mexico from the Punta Sur Sculpture Park.
The Tourism Department announced that on New Year’s, Isla Mujeres recorded an economic impact of more than 1.17 million dollars, which demonstrates that the destination’s tourism success also translates into shared prosperity.
Isla Mujeres has had a successful year thanks to the intensive tourism promotion work carried out by the Government of Atenea Gómez, which is why throughout the year, it received visits from nearly 6 million tourists, which has been reflected in greater economic benefits for island families.
On the other hand, the Tourism Department announced that Costa Mujeres closed 2025 with a 91% hotel occupancy rate, reiterating that throughout the year it led the top positions in all of Quintana Roo.
