Paamul, Quintana Roo — The first-ever Paamul Art Show & Sale concluded this weekend with strong attendance, robust art sales, and a meaningful charitable impact, marking a successful debut for what organizers hope will become a recurring cultural event along the Riviera Maya.
Held Saturday and Sunday, December 13–14, the open-studio art show brought together 18 artists from Paamul and across the Riviera Maya, transforming the quiet coastal community into a walkable, open-air gallery. Despite periods of inclement weather, hundreds of visitors attended, purchasing original works in painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed media.
A portion of all proceeds from art sales was donated to the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside, supporting the organization’s ongoing community programs focused on education, health, and basic needs for children and families in the region.
Art, Community, and Philanthropy
Exhibition spaces included artists’ homes and studios and several newly built residences generously provided by a local builder and adapted into pop-up galleries. Visitors were encouraged to move freely between locations, meet the artists, and learn about the stories behind each piece.
The event highlighted Paamul’s growing role as a creative hub, while reinforcing the connection between local culture and social responsibility.
The Paamul Restaurant participated by offering event participants and attendees 20% off hroughout the event.
