Chetumal, Quintana Roo — An immersive exhibition blending virtual reality, digital projections, and interactive activities based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic “The Little Prince” opens this week at the Yook’ol Kaab’ Planetarium.

The Quintana Roo Council of Humanities, Sciences, and Technologies (COQHCYT) presents “The Little Prince: The Experience in Chetumal,” an innovative cultural offering that combines technology, art, and science.

The exhibition promises an interactive journey through the symbolic universe of the beloved story, designed to spark imagination across all age groups.

  • Virtual reality experiences simulating the little prince’s travels to different planets
  • Live theater performances inspired by the original story
  • Thematic areas explaining the timeline and central messages of the work

Each space aims to provoke reflection on values like friendship, love, empathy, and the meaning of life—core themes of the literary classic.

Cultural Initiative

COQHCYT Director Cristopher Malpica Morales emphasized that such exhibitions strengthen educational outreach and make knowledge accessible through dynamic, engaging formats.

Beyond entertainment, organizers hope the experience reconnects visitors with the profound messages of one of the world’s most-read works, using technology and creativity to create an adventure that transcends generations.
