Human remains discovered in plastic drum in Cancún neighborhood

Cancún. Human remains wrapped in sheets inside a plastic drum were abandoned around 2 a.m. on Friday in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision, Region 259 of Cancún.

According to neighbors, four unknown individuals were carrying the blue container on a “diablito” (hand truck), which they abandoned in a mediation area of one of the passageways near Niños Héroes and Periférico avenues.

The suspects fled to an unknown location, and subsequently the report made by residents to emergency number 911 was attended by elements of the Preventive Police.

It is speculated that it could be two dismembered corpses, which will be confirmed or ruled out in the coming hours by the State Prosecutor’s Office.
