A hospitality worker was injured in a shooting incident on Saturday night in the Villas del Mar neighborhood of Cancún, Mexico. The incident occurred after the employee reportedly resisted a robbery attempt.
The shooting took place around 9:00 p.m. on Los Tules Avenue, in Region 248. Local law enforcement received a distress call via the 911 emergency line, reporting a gunshot victim in the area.
Upon arrival, Municipal Police officers found the injured man and immediately secured the scene to preserve any potential evidence. Red Cross paramedics were also on the scene, providing first aid to the victim before transporting him to the hospital.
The victim, identified as a hospitality industry employee, was taken to the IMSS in Region 509 for further medical treatment.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that the assailant was on a motorcycle and fired at the employee. In response to the incident, police launched a search operation in the area. Later reports confirmed that a suspect was apprehended and handed over to the State Attorney General's Office for further investigation and legal proceedings.
