Cancun, Quintana Roo — Hard Rock Hotel Cancun is celebrating LGBTQI+ pride and diversity by reaffirming its commitment to inclusion through the global campaign “Love Out Loud.” The initiative drives special experiences and events at key properties in Mexico, including Cancun, Riviera Maya, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, positioning the brand as a leader in gender-inclusive hospitality.
Hard Rock and Cancun Pride: A Partnership for Visibility
During June, Pride Month, the campaign comes to life in the Mexican Caribbean with activities focused on authenticity, free expression and social transformation. The hotel recently hosted an artistic ceremony crowning this year’s new Pride and Drag kings.
The event included the presentation of recognitions and a gathering with local leaders, authorities, tourism sector allies and business owners from Quintana Roo. Hard Rock Cancun has joined as an ally of the Cancun Pride Group for the third consecutive year, a movement that has become a national benchmark five years after its founding.
“We are thrilled that Hard Rock has been an ally in promotion for three consecutive years; it always opens its doors in one of Mexico’s most important tourist destinations,” said Linger Mendez, leader of Cancun Pride, highlighting the importance of brands at this level fostering respect.
Workplace Inclusion and Cause-Driven Tourism in Benito Juarez
Beyond a seasonal celebration, the hotel drives permanent initiatives, from internal gender-inclusive training to promoting equitable workspaces, strengthening the region’s social and tourism development.
Berenice Sosa Osorio, Secretary of Welfare for the Benito Juarez municipal government, attended the event and thanked the community for a recognition she received. She reiterated that her department will continue to be a solid ally of the LGBTQI+ community’s causes in Cancun.
Memorabilia With History: Elton John’s Legacy
Karen Burgos, corporate manager for the Hard Rock brand, noted that music has the power to unite people without labels. “We are committed to honoring the talent, guests and members of our LGBTQI+ team,” she said.
As part of the Love Out Loud experience, guests can enjoy a curated tour featuring memorabilia pieces displayed in showcases. Among the items are costumes and personal belongings of iconic artists such as Elton John, globally recognized for his activism on behalf of the community and the fight against HIV/AIDS.
