Dzilam de Bravo, Yucatan — A photograph taken by fishermen in Dzilam de Bravo has sparked excitement among residents after it captured an unidentified object with a seemingly circular shape suspended in the sky.
The sighting reportedly occurred on August 4, when crew members linked to fisherman José del Carmen Champotón were at the harbor aboard a boat owned by Arath Magaña. According to the fishermen, the object caught their attention because of its shape and appearance, prompting one of them to photograph it.
The image, later circulated, shows a partly clear sky with scattered clouds and a grayish figure with an oval or disk-like outline among them.
So far, no information has confirmed what the object is, nor are there enough details to associate it with any extraordinary phenomenon. The photograph has been sent to a specialist to determine whether it shows signs of digital manipulation and, if possible, identify whether it depicts a conventional object, an optical effect, an aircraft, or something else.
In such cases, the term UFO simply refers to an unidentified flying object — something observed in the sky whose nature cannot be initially determined — and does not necessarily imply an extraterrestrial origin.
The case quickly drew comments from fishermen and residents of Dzilam de Bravo, particularly because of the object’s characteristics and the circumstances in which it was photographed. For now, the alleged sighting remains unexplained, and the results of the image analysis must be awaited to determine what appeared over this Yucatan coastal port.
