Dzilam de Bravo, Yucatán — A significant deployment of federal and state forces was registered on April 1 in the port of Dzilam de Bravo, specifically in the area known as "Pueblo Nuevo," where an anti-drug operation is being carried out with the participation of various agencies.

Coordinated Security Actions

The actions involve elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), the National Guard, the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), and the Attorney General's Office (FGR), who are conducting searches at different points in the area indicated as a focus of criminal activity.

According to preliminary information, illicit substances, both synthetic and natural, were seized during the operations. Unofficially, several arrests have also been reported, although there has been no official confirmation from the authorities.

Ongoing Operation Under Heavy Guard

The operation is ongoing and under heavy guard, with the presence of tactical units, state patrols, and military vehicles that have generated excitement among the port's inhabitants.

These actions are occurring in parallel with recent operations in the municipality of Kanasín, which points to a coordinated strategy to reinforce security in different parts of the state, particularly in areas identified with a history of drug dealing, robberies, and violence.

Heightened Surveillance During Holiday Season

The context of the holiday season, with the arrival of national and foreign visitors, would have triggered an increase in surveillance and operational actions to contain illicit activities and guarantee security conditions.

Authorities have not issued an official statement detailing the results of the operation, so it is expected that more information on seizures and possible arrests will be released in the coming hours.
