PUERTO AVENTURAS, Quintana Roo — The municipal president of Playa del Carmen, Estefanía Mercado, launched the first "Chambamanía en tu Colonia" social outreach event in this community, an integral strategy designed to provide free access to government procedures and services for residents, eliminating unnecessary trips to the municipal seat.

Accompanied by the honorary president of DIF Playa del Carmen, Eduardo Asencio, members of her cabinet, and councilors, the Mayor toured the service modules installed in the main domed structure of Puerto Aventuras. During the event, she led public hearings attended by dozens of families who presented requests related to public services, housing, and official documentation. The majority of these matters were resolved on the spot by the heads of the relevant departments.

"Today, many of the requests were resolved immediately, and those requiring follow-up have already been integrated into the process," she reported.

Estefanía Mercado emphasized that the goal of "Chambamanía en tu Colonia" is to reduce barriers to accessing public services not only in Puerto Aventuras but throughout the entire municipality. "Our commitment is to be where the people need us. We do not want anyone to have to spend time or money to resolve a basic procedure; that is why we are here, bringing concrete solutions and attending to their requests directly," she added.

The Municipal President highlighted that these actions complement the state social programs promoted by Governor Mara Lezama, as well as the federal initiatives of the government led by Claudia Sheinbaum.

"When the three levels of government work in alignment, the results are noticeable: procedures resolved, accessible services, and families supported," she stated.

Upon her arrival, the president was received by the mayor of Puerto Aventuras, Gilberto Gómez, who thanked her for her presence and reaffirmed the collaborative work with the Playa del Carmen City Council. "Here we work hand in hand with the people. These institutional programs bring the government closer to the people and respond to what the community needs," expressed the mayor.

Agencies participating in the event included the Municipal Treasury, Civil Registry, Directorate of Housing and Regularization, Secretariat of Citizen Security, and the Directorate of Youth. Free social services were also offered, such as nutritional guidance, pet vaccinations, and modules from the Secretariat of Social Justice and Citizen Participation, which distributed monthly food support through the "Playa Llena Corazón Contento" program.

The event saw wide participation from families in Puerto Aventuras and will be replicated soon in other neighborhoods and communities within the Playa del Carmen municipality.
