Cancún, Mexico — At least 70 people from Mexico and other countries offered their testimonies regarding their visit to the Sanctuary of Mary Undoer of Knots in Cancún. Their accounts will form part of a documentary set to be presented in Spain next year.

Luis Pablo Garza, parish priest and founder of the Sanctuary, recognized the national and international relevance the site has gained, establishing it as a symbol of religious tourism.

During the recently concluded summer vacation season, the production of a cinematic documentary took place at the Sanctuary's facilities. The documentary is scheduled to premiere in Cinemex next January.

"The project was carried out by the Spanish production company Bosco Films and was filmed over several days within the church facilities, taking advantage of the large number of visitors who arrived. The production company conducted at least 70 interviews among parishioners, some of whom have visited the place two or three times," he explained.

The documentary captured images of the site's beauty and also interviewed the people who work there.

"There are people who have received miracles; there was even a powerful testimony from a Brazilian model who lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was baptized live at the sanctuary and states that visiting this place changed her life for the better," he noted.

This documentary will serve to further promote Cancún as a destination with a spiritual site for reflection, rest for the soul, and peace.

The Undoer of Knots has become a major attraction in just a few years for people seeking an act of faith, with family, economic, work, or personal petitions.

During the summer vacation season, this sanctuary receives approximately 30,000 parishioners each week from various municipalities in Quintana Roo, Yucatán, and Campeche, as well as from central and northern Mexico.

The photos and live videos shared on social media have made the church go viral and turned it into an aspirational site to visit in Cancún.

The location features a spacious parking lot to accommodate caravans of faith, a restaurant, and plans continue for the construction of a hotel.
