Human Remains Discovered in Cancún Neighborhood on Christmas Eve

Cancún, Mexico — A dismembered human body was located this Wednesday in a green area of the Paseo Kusamil neighborhood, prompting a major mobilization of police elements from all three levels of government.

The discovery occurred around midday a few meters from the intersection of Kusamil Boulevard and Lago Victoria.

At this location, neighbors reported finding black bags with blood, which led them to request support from authorities.

State police officers went to the site to verify the reported information, which was confirmed, and proceeded to cordon off the area; minutes later, municipal police and Army personnel arrived.

It emerged at the scene that among the human remains, the head was not found.

Investigative Police agents and forensic experts handled the corresponding procedures to collect the human remains and transport them to the Forensic Medical Service.
