Chiapas Folk Ballet Performs at Nochecitas Isleñas in Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The Municipal Folk Ballet of Palenque, Chiapas, performed Saturday night as part of the Nochecitas Isleñas program, bringing the traditional dances and music of the southern state to the island’s main square.

Directed by Gustavo Domínguez Priego, the company presented “Colores de Chiapas,” a folkloric suite highlighting the region’s cultural heritage through colorful costumes and traditional choreography.

Spectators gathered at the Explanada municipal to watch the performance. Suemi González Sánchez, director general of Social Development, attended on behalf of the mayor and mingled with local families and tourists who came to see the show.
