Cancún, Quintana Roo — The 12th edition of Rally Maya México will take place from February 27 to March 7, 2026, with Cancún and the Mexican Caribbean hosting the final stage and awards ceremony, organizers announced.
The rally will start in Palenque, Chiapas, and conclude in Cancún, integrating historic automobile racing with cultural heritage and tourism promotion for southeastern Mexico.
The convoy will arrive in Cancún on March 5 from Chichén Itzá during the fourth stage. Participants will stay at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancún, where stage winners will be announced at a dinner sponsored by Audi de México.
From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 5, a public exhibition of participating vehicles will be held at the Asta Bandera esplanade, allowing visitors to learn about their history and appreciate their preserved condition and design.
On March 6, competitors will be transported to the Asta de la Bandera to begin the fifth stage, traveling to Puerto Morelos, where attendees can observe the vehicles up close along the coast.
That evening, the closing gala dinner and awards ceremony, presented by Porsche, will take place at the Ennea Grand Island Beach Club. Winners by category and the overall champion will receive the coveted Corazón Maya trophy.
On March 7, the traditional golf tournament among rally participants will begin at 8 a.m., marking the end of the 12th edition.
Route Details
The 2026 rally route includes five stages:
- First stage: Palenque to Calakmul (362 km)
- Second stage: Calakmul to Champotón (scale one) to Campeche (301 km)
- Third stage: Campeche to Acanceh (scale one) to Cenote Santa Bárbara, Homún (scale two) to Chichén Itzá (354 km)
- Fourth stage: Chichén Itzá to Hacienda Selva Maya (scale one) to Cancún (216 km)
- Fifth stage: Cancún to Puerto Morelos (scale one) to Cancún (183 km)
With this announcement, Cancún solidifies its role as a key host for the rally’s closing events, maintaining its status as one of the most important venues due to its prominence as Mexico’s leading tourist destination.
