The 2024 Cancun Pride Parade, initially slated for June 22, has been rescheduled to July 6 due to unfavorable weather conditions. The decision was made by the event organizers in line with recommendations from Civil Protection authorities to ensure the safety of all participants.
The organizers released an official statement saying, "We regret the necessity of this decision, but our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our attendees. We have followed the advice of Civil Protection to prevent any potential incidents."
The Cancun Pride Parade is a significant annual event for the LGBTQ+ community, celebrating diversity and advocating for rights. The organizers have apologized for any inconvenience caused by the change and hope to see the community's continued support and attendance on the new date.
All associated events will also be moved to align with the new parade date of July 6. The decision has been met with understanding from both the local community and visitors, who recognize the importance of prioritizing attendee safety.
