Trumpet & Guitar Players: Join Cancún Music Fest 2025

Cancún, Mexico — The 12th edition of the Cancún International Music Festival is set to take place from October 10 to 18, featuring Spain as the guest country of honor and Michoacán as the highlighted state in its artistic program.

A Global Musical Platform

Since its inception, the festival has established itself as a meeting point for musicians from around the world, offering concerts, recitals, masterclasses, workshops, and social activities in diverse venues, including theaters, public squares, museums, universities, hotels, and shopping centers across Cancún, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, and other locations in the Mexican Caribbean.

This year’s event will showcase a wide range of musical styles, from classical and flamenco to jazz, folk, and big band performances.

Open Calls for Musicians

As part of the festival, two international calls have been announced for musicians seeking to share their art and advance their careers through engagement with leading figures in the music scene.

The first is the 1st International Classical Guitar Competition of the FIM Cancún, open to classical guitarists worldwide aged 18 and above. The competition, scheduled for October 11 and 12, 2025, in Cancún, Quintana Roo, will award prizes valued at over $3,500 USD. A panel of internationally renowned concertists and pedagogues will serve as judges. The registration deadline is October 3, with early enrollment benefits available.

Additionally, the festival invites young trumpet players from Mexico and abroad to participate in the FIM Cancún Trumpet Competition 2025. Selected participants will gain access to concerts, high-level masterclasses, and prizes designed to boost their artistic careers.
