Cancún Party Turns Violent: Machete Brawl Injures Seven

A friendly gathering in Cancún took a violent turn, resulting in a machete brawl that left at least seven people injured, two of them critically. The incident occurred in a residence in the Cuna Maya neighborhood, situated in Region 203 of Cancún, between 20 de Noviembre Avenue and Niños Héroes Avenue.

The group of friends was reportedly enjoying a party during the afternoon when disagreements arose. As the situation escalated amidst the consumption of alcohol, a fistfight broke out. Tragically, the altercation didn't stop at punches. As the tension heightened, some partygoers resorted to using machetes, turning the scene into a dangerous brawl.

The violent encounter in Cuna Maya resulted in at least seven people sustaining injuries, with two of them suffering severe wounds. Alarmed by the chaos, local residents alerted emergency services, leading to the dispatch of patrol cars and ambulances to the scene.

Six of the injured were transported to the General Hospital "Jesús Kumate Rodríguez" in Cancún, while one person declined medical attention from paramedics. The current condition of the two critically injured individuals remains unknown, as does the potential for any criminal charges to be filed in relation to the incident.
