Cancún, Quintana Roo — The prestigious Cancún Country Club will welcome rising tennis talent next month as it hosts the Europcar Cancún Country Open presented by Telcel OPPO, an ATP Challenger Tour event featuring 16 players in the main draw, including Yucatán native Rodrigo Pacheco. The tournament will take place from August 11 to 17.
A Return to Professional Tennis
The venue, which hosted a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) event earlier this year, continues its foray into professional tennis with this ATP Challenger Tour competition. The tournament was officially announced during a press conference held at the Cancún Country Club, attended by key organizers and local officials.
Tournament Details
The event will feature a 1,500-seat main stadium and additional courts within the club. Over 30 players from around the world, including Mexico’s Rodrigo Pacheco (ranked 200th), will compete in both singles and doubles matches to earn ranking points.
