Felipe Carrillo Puerto — The body of a man was located on the morning of this Saturday on the side of Federal Highway 307, at the location of the crossing known as "Los Chunes," on the Tulum–Felipe Carrillo Puerto stretch.

The victim displayed visible signs of torture, bullet holes, and was found bound and wrapped in plastic bags.

The macabre discovery was reported by motorists traveling through the area in both directions, who, upon noticing the presence of the bundle at the edge of the road, immediately notified authorities via the emergency number 911.

Elements of the Ministerial Police and experts from the State Attorney General's Office arrived at the location to cordon off the area and carry out the corresponding procedures.

During the inspection, it was confirmed that the body presented multiple injuries and evident signs of violence, which reinforces the hypothesis of a premeditated homicide.

Personnel from the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) carried out the removal of the body and transported it to their facilities for the legally required autopsy, with the goal of determining the exact cause of death and advancing its identification.

At this time, the victim has not been officially identified, and the authorities are keeping the details of the investigation confidential so as not to hinder the inquiries.

The discovery generated attention among motorists and residents of nearby communities, who indicated that this type of violent event has increased concern in the southern region of the municipality.

The Attorney General's Office of the State of Quintana Roo reported that an investigation file has been opened to clarify the facts and find those responsible for this crime, which again highlights the presence of extreme violence on the highways of the Tulum–Carrillo Puerto corridor.
