Authorities cordon off a street during a raid on a call center in Cancun's Supermanzana 45

Cancun, Quintana Roo — State and federal authorities raided a call center in Cancun on Wednesday, seizing the property and detaining multiple employees for questioning as part of an investigation into potential illicit activities.

The operation, led by the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office with support from state police and the Mexican Navy, targeted a single-story house in Supermanzana 45 that had been converted into a call center selling vacation packages. Officials cordoned off the area at the intersection of Bacalar Street and Del Sol Avenue during the raid.

After executing a search warrant, authorities placed official seals on the property to secure it. The call center focused on marketing tourist packages, and several women and other workers were taken in for questioning to provide statements as part of the ongoing investigation.

This raid is part of broader efforts to combat possible illegal operations in Cancun. The State Prosecutor’s Office said it will continue its inquiries to determine responsibilities and clarify how the business functioned.
