Chetumal, Mexico — With the presence of Homero Aguirre Enríquez, the national spokesperson for the Antorchista Movement, a Cultural Journey in homage to its Martyrs in Quintana Roo commenced this weekend in Chetumal.

Homero Aguirre Enríquez stated that the objective of the Cultural Journey is to remember the comrades who have passed away in order to keep their struggle and contribution to the movement alive, as well as to promote and showcase the country's cultural wealth, primarily among the youth.

He indicated that one of the jewels of the Antorchista Movement at a national level are its national cultural groups for dance, poetry, and song, which began a tour of the southeast this weekend. These groups will perform on various stages free of charge.

He reported that the national groups and the national mariachi of the social organization are conducting a cultural tour within Quintana Roo from September 6 to September 14.

Daniel Osorio García, leader of the Antorchista Movement in Quintana Roo, added that for years, the movement has commemorated those who have passed away at a national level. In Quintana Roo, from 2021 to 2024, Cristóbal Pilar Reyes was remembered, and since that time, Bertha Portilla Díaz and Virginia Esteban Franco are also remembered.

On Wednesday, September 10, the event will be held at the Instituto Tecnológico Superior of Felipe Carrillo Puerto with "Mexican Night with Mariachi" starting at 6:00 p.m.
