Playa del Carmen, Mexico — The State Attorney General's Office (FGE), in coordination with Municipal Police, detained an individual identified as Pablo "N" on Saturday. The suspect is alleged to be a leader of land invasions and is considered a generator of violence in the Playa del Carmen area.

According to unofficial information, the operation was carried out at the home of the accused, who was facing a legal process while at liberty. Following his capture, a group of approximately ten people gathered on Juárez Avenue near the Lilis neighborhood, where they blocked traffic while carrying machetes and issuing threats against security forces.

The protesters warned that they could set patrol cars on fire and attack officers participating in the operation, which necessitated a reinforced police presence in the area. The tension generated by the mobilization forced the deployment of Municipal Police units to contain potential outbreaks of violence and safeguard citizens.

According to the FGE, Pablo "N" not only led invasions of properties in the city but also used these spaces to conceal various criminal activities, leading to his classification as a generator of violence in Playa del Carmen.

As of this publication's deadline, authorities maintained permanent surveillance in the area while the legal situation of the detainee was being determined.
