Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Water utility company Aguakan is hosting a children’s festival and a water-themed race in Quintana Roo this week to celebrate Children’s Day while promoting environmental awareness.
The company will hold a children’s festival on Friday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m. at the Las Palmas inclusive sports field in Playa del Carmen. The event features recreational activities including games, contests, music, piñatas, face painting, and performances by characters Tamborín and Chintitos.
On Saturday, April 25 at 5:00 p.m., Aguakan will host the Kids Water Race 2026 at Toro Valenzuela Stadium in Cancún. The free event includes an obstacle course designed for children ages 5 to 12, with seven challenges focused on participation, teamwork, and community building.
Both events aim to teach children about water conservation and environmental responsibility through fun, interactive activities.
