Aguakan: Not Responsible for Cancun Trench Accident

CANCUN — In relation to the accident registered this morning in the vicinity of Supermanzana 102, on Talleres Avenue, in which a taxi driver was affected after falling into an open trench, Aguakan specifies that the incident does not correspond to a project by the company, but rather to work being carried out by the real estate developer ARA for its project, Privadas Balam.

The incident occurred two blocks away from the work currently being performed by Aguakan in the area, which may have caused confusion. Nevertheless, the company considers it important to make this clarification and, at the same time, reaffirm its commitment to collaboration. For this reason, personnel went to the site to conduct a preventive inspection and supervision of the perimeter.

"Aguakan works with responsibility and a firm commitment to the safety of neighbors, motorists, and pedestrians," the company stated.

The company also expressed gratitude for the public's and the media's understanding regarding the clarification of the facts that occurred.
