Tulum’s Safe School Protocol Protects Students

TULUM — With a commitment to ensuring a safe return to classes, Municipal President Diego Castañón Trejo has launched, for the second consecutive year, the "Safe School" protocol. This permanent operation brings together all security agencies to safeguard the well-being of Tulum's children and youth.

The initiative was launched at the Zamná General Secondary School Number 15. During the event, Castañón emphasized that education is the fundamental axis for transforming society.

"Education is a fundamental tool for social transformation. Our commitment to Tulum in the educational field is absolute; therefore, all security agencies are uniting to protect what is most valuable to us: our children and youth," he stated.

Scholarships and Educational Support

The mayor recalled that his administration has delivered scholarships for all educational levels, prioritizing families in the greatest need.

"We know that, on many occasions, basic education can represent a great challenge. That is why we are here: you have our support, and I affirm this not only with words, but with actions," he emphasized.

Coordination with the State

Municipal authorities also accompanied the delivery of school supplies carried out by the Quintana Roo Secretariat of Education, highlighting the collaboration between the state and municipal governments.

Castañón thanked the efforts of Governor Mara Lezama, whose support ensured that this year the supplies arrived on time and in an organized manner, after several cycles in which this delivery had been delayed.

Unity for Education

The municipal president stressed that Tulum will continue to work jointly with all three levels of government to achieve tangible results for the school community.

"Tulum will always work hand in hand with the state, the federation, and all required agencies, because only through the union of efforts can we achieve tangible results like those of today; which will allow us to bring prosperity to all Tulum households and continue advancing in the transformation," he concluded.
