Tulum Opens First Multi-Sensory Therapy Center

TULUM — The Tulum System for Integral Family Development (DIF Tulum), in coordination with the commercial chain OXXO, inaugurated the municipality's first Multi-Sensory Stimulation Center this Wednesday. The space is designed to promote inclusion and improve the quality of life for girls, boys, and people with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions.

The new center will serve more than 500 direct beneficiaries, who will have access to innovative therapies that strengthen autonomy and integral development.

A Hub for Specialized Care

The installed equipment will allow for therapies using lights, sounds, aromas, and controlled stimuli, elements that contribute to the improvement of motor, cognitive, and sensory skills. Specialists explained that these methods offer a safe and positive environment to enhance learning and social integration.

During the inauguration, Municipal President Diego Castañón led the event and highlighted the importance of consolidating projects that respond to the needs of vulnerable sectors. "This space is a firm step towards a more inclusive Tulum, where every person has access to opportunities that improve their well-being," he expressed.

For their part, representatives of OXXO underscored that the initiative is part of the company's social responsibility and its commitment to contributing to the development of the community. The DIF Tulum stated that the center will become a point of reference for the care of people with various conditions, as it will offer a specialized service that did not previously exist in the municipality.

With this project, the aim is to open new alternatives for care and reinforce the support network for families that require constant accompaniment.

The opening of the Multi-Sensory Stimulation Center represents a significant advance in matters of social inclusion in Tulum, by providing tools that favor independence, integration, and an improved quality of life for hundreds of people.
