Gino Segura Leads Quintana Roo Governor Race Poll

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Senator Gino Segura has emerged as the frontrunner in internal polling to secure Morena’s nomination for the 2027 gubernatorial race in Quintana Roo, according to a recent survey by polling firm Rubrum, published on July 16. With 41.1% support among potential Morena candidates, Segura holds a commanding lead, followed by Playa del Carmen Mayor Estefanía Mercado, who solidified her second-place position with 22.7% voter intent.

Poll Reveals Clear Frontrunners

The survey, conducted with a representative sample of 1,000 adults statewide, also identified Alma (Anahí) González with 19.6% and Rafael Marín with 16.6%, rounding out the list of the most recognized figures among party members and supporters.

The results indicate a competitive internal race with clear trends, as both Segura and Mercado have steadily strengthened their positions in recent months. The poll reflects public interest in maintaining the trajectory of the “Fourth Transformation” in Quintana Roo, aligning with principles of grassroots engagement, honesty, social justice, and equitable development.

Morena Dominates Party Preferences

Morena leads voter intent with 48.4%, far ahead of the PAN (15.3%) and PRI (8.2%), while Movimiento Ciudadano (MC) trails with 12.8%.
